What is the Kingdom of the Outlands?
The Outlands is a regional branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). The Outlands includes all of New Mexico, all of Colorado, parts of Wyoming and Nebraska, as well as El Paso and Hudspeth counties in Texas. There are over 20 local groups scattered about the Kingdom. It is likely there is a local group near you.
What is the Society for Creative Anachronism/SCA?
The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an inclusive community pursuing research and re-creation of pre-seventeenth century skills, arts, combat and culture. The lives of participants are enriched as we gain knowledge of history through activities, demonstrations, and events.
Kingdom Regalia Stolen
Beloved Outlands,
An unfortunate event has occurred, and the Outlands has lost some precious items. One of our officers' homes was broken into and unfortunately several items of kingdom regalia were stolen.
We would ask the populace keep an eye out for these things. The items were stolen from a house in Westminster, as such Northern Outlanders please be on the lookout.
We appreciate everyone's help in assisting with the search for these items. While we hope to recover our regalia, we also anticipate fundraising for replacement of those items that we cannot recover.
It is a horrible and violating thing to have your home burglarized. As much as we are upset by these losses, we have proven ourselves resilient time and again, and we will recover from this. We are most grateful that no one was hurt. We ask that at this time we remind ourselves that our traditions are in the minds and hearts of our people, more than in our things.
