The Kingdom Chatelaine is a deputy to the Kingdom Seneschal. The Office oversees activities and efforts by the Shires, Baronies and groups to recruit and foster newcomers to the society.

Additional duties include oversite of media coverage and public relations.

Local Chatelaines are the ones who directly deal with the public and assist newcomers by acting as a point-of-contact. They will coordinate PR flyers, public demonstrations, SCA Literature and media coverage in their area. They report to their local seneschal and to the Kingdom Chatelaine office.
